Prices increase by 12.8% in one year alone in Georgia

In the last one year, the prices have increased by 12.8 percent in Georgia, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said on Monday.

 

According to the same data, in June compared to May, prices increased by 0.2 percent.

 

Over the past year, prices have increased for:

 

Food and non-alcoholic beverages – by 21.8 percent;

 

Transport – by 19.4 percent;

 

Housing, water, electricity, gas – by 13 percent.

 

In May 2022 annual inflation stood at 13.3 percent. After July 2021, Georgia exceeded the 10 percent annual inflation mark.
