On December 25, Catholic and some Orthodox communities worldwide celebrate the birth of Christ.

For the second year, Ukraine is marking Christmas on December 25. Since September 1, 2023, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church transitioned to a new calendar for fixed religious holidays.

Meanwhile, Orthodox Churches in Georgia, Russia, Jerusalem, Serbia, and Mount Athos continue to celebrate Christmas on January 7.
