Police said the injured included nine women and two men aged between 50 and 88

A 94-year-old woman has been killed and 11 other people injured following a Russian drone strike on the city of Konotop in Ukraine’s Sumy Oblast, according to regional police.

Authorities said rescuers recovered the woman’s body from beneath the rubble of a five-storey residential building damaged in the attack on 20 May.

Police said the injured included nine women and two men aged between 50 and 88.

Investigative teams, bomb disposal experts and emergency services are continuing to work at the scene.
