Ukraine’s General Staff: Russia has lost more than 1.14mln troops since start of invasion

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Russian military has lost an estimated 1,142,730 soldiers - killed or wounded - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Saturday.
During the past 24 hours alone, Russian forces suffered around 900 additional personnel losses, the body said.
Ukraine’s military also released updated figures on Russia’s estimated equipment losses as of November 1, 2025:
Tanks: 11,316 (+6)
Armored combat vehicles: 23,521 (+2)
Artillery systems: 34,137 (+9)
Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 1,534 (+1)
Air defense systems: 1,235 (+2)
Aircraft: 428 (no change)
Helicopters: 346 (no change)
Tactical-level UAVs: 76,704 (+349)
Cruise missiles: 3,917 (no change)
Boats and ships: 28 (no change)
Submarines: 1 (no change)
Motor vehicles and fuel tanks: 66,169 (+58)
Special equipment: 3,987 (+1)
