Ukraine General Staff Updates Russia’s Combat Losses as of September 6

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russia’s estimated combat losses in the war.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia has lost approximately 1,496,440 military personnel in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, including 1,390 over the past 24 hours. The figure includes personnel reported as killed or wounded.

Ukraine’s General Staff estimates Russia’s total combat losses between February 25, 2022, and September 6, 2026, as follows:

* Armoured combat vehicles: 25,278 (+5)

* Artillery systems: 49,260 (+33)

* Multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS): 2,096 (+3)

* Air defence systems: 1,605 (+1)

* Aircraft: 441 (+0)

* Helicopters: 355 (+0)

* Unmanned ground systems: 2,507 (+5)

* Operational-tactical UAVs: 501,244 (+1,435)

* Cruise missiles: 5,070 (+0)

* Boats/ships: 35 (+0)

* Submarines: 2 (+0)

* Vehicles and fuel tanks: 144,435 (+392)

* Special equipment: 4,644 (+0)
