On Sunday, June 15, Ukraine received the bodies of another 1,200 deceased citizens, according to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

The Russian side claimed the remains belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel. Identification procedures will be carried out by Ukrainian law enforcement and forensic experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The transfer follows the second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia held in Istanbul, where the two sides agreed on a second large-scale prisoner exchange. These exchanges took place on June 9, 10, 12, and 14.

Additionally, during the Istanbul talks, Ukraine and the Russian Federation reached an agreement on the repatriation of fallen soldiers based on the "6000/6000" formula. The handovers of the bodies took place on June 11, 13, 14, and today.
