A Russian attack on Kyiv overnight left two people dead and 13 injured, including one child, Ukrainian authorities said on Saturday.
The assault on the capital was carried out using both drones and missiles. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, the air-raid alert remains in place as enemy aerial targets continue to be detected on the outskirts of the city. Officials urged residents to remain in shelters until the threat is fully lifted.
The attack began late at night, initially with waves of drones, followed shortly by ballistic missiles. Several residential buildings were damaged in the strikes.
Emergency services are working at the scene, and local authorities say updates will follow as the situation develops.
