A new residential complex is under construction in Rustavi to provide housing for internally displaced families, Georgian officials said on Monday.
The project includes four newly built apartment blocks, where up to 800 families will receive fully renovated homes. Plans for the development also feature a stadium, children’s playground and outdoor fitness areas.
Funded by the state budget, the project is valued at approximately 81 million lari.
The Agency for IDPs is currently assessing applications from families seeking accommodation in the complex. Each household is assigned a preliminary score in line with national legislation, after which a commission will determine eligibility for further monitoring.
The site was inspected by Deputy Minister Giorgi Tsagareishvili and the agency’s director Davit Kaikatsishvili, who reviewed the progress of construction.
