NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he had already invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the upcoming NATO Summit in Ankara, adding that the President would attend the gathering.

According to Rutte, an official invitation has already been sent to Zelenskyy.

“I have already invited him. He will be there, just as he will be in The Hague,” the NATO Secretary General said.

Rutte also commented on the situation on the frontline and Ukraine’s military operations against Russia, saying the latest developments pointed to positive changes for Ukraine.

He noted that Ukrainian forces were gradually regaining territory and stabilising the battlefield situation. While he said the changes were not occurring on a large scale, he added that developments were moving in a direction unfavourable for the Kremlin.
