Another body recovered from rubble near Station Square collapse in Tbilisi

A second body has been found in the rubble of a collapsed residential building near Station Square in Tbilisi, according to Vaja Siradze, Director of the Tbilisi Police Department.

“As of now, two people have died as a result of the collapse,” Siradze told reporters. “Rescue operations are ongoing. One fatality was confirmed earlier, and now a second body has been discovered. We will provide more details as work continues.”

He confirmed that the victims are a man and a woman.

The partial collapse of the residential building occurred several hours ago in the area adjacent to Station Square. Emergency services remain at the scene conducting search and rescue efforts.
