Georgia’s Under-21 national football team claimed a dominant 5–0 away victory over Malta in the third round of the UEFA European Championship qualifiers.
Under the guidance of coach Ramaz Svanadze, Georgia started strongly at Ta’ Qali’s Centenary Stadium and quickly took control of the game.
Saba Kharebashvili opened the scoring in the 36th minute, capitalising on a mistake by Malta’s goalkeeper to send the ball into an empty net. Shortly after, Nikoloz Dadiani doubled Georgia’s lead.
In the second half, Giorgi Tabatadze extended the advantage to 3–0 with a precise strike in the 67th minute. Aleksandre Narimanidze added a fourth soon after and substitute Aleko Basiladze sealed the emphatic win with a late fifth goal.
With this convincing result, Georgia’s U21 side further strengthened its position in Group F of the qualification stage.
