Georgia's national football team secured a 2-0 victory over Bahrain in an international friendly on Friday, completing their June international window with a win ahead of the start of their UEFA Nations League campaign.
After a goalless first half, Georgia broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when defender Luka Lochoshvili converted Otar Kiteishvili's cross from the right flank with a first-time finish.
The visitors doubled their advantage in the 75th minute after winning a penalty. Giorgi Kvernadze burst into the penalty area and was brought down by a defender, allowing captain Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to calmly convert from the spot and make it 2-0.
Georgia controlled much of the second half and held on comfortably to secure the victory.
The friendly was the team's second match of the June international break as head coach Willy Sagnol continued preparations for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.
Georgia will return to competitive action on 25 September, when the team hosts Northern Ireland in the capital city of Tbilisi in their opening Nations League match.
