
Tamazashvili reaffirmed Georgia's willingness to deepen cooperation with Armenia across various areas of law enforcement

Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili met with Armenian Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan during an official visit to Armenia, with the two sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening cooperation between their law enforcement agencies.
According to Georgia's Interior Ministry, Tamazashvili was welcomed with an official reception ceremony at the Armenian Interior Ministry, where the national anthems of Georgia and Armenia were performed.
As part of the ceremony, the two ministers laid wreaths at a memorial honoring Armenian police officers who died in the line of duty.
During their bilateral meeting, the ministers expressed readiness to further strengthen the close partnership between the two countries' law enforcement institutions and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The sides also emphasized the importance of exchanging information and professional experience within the framework of police cooperation and reviewed ongoing and planned joint projects and reforms.
Tamazashvili reaffirmed Georgia's willingness to deepen cooperation with Armenia across various areas of law enforcement.
The ministers also underlined the importance of ensuring peace and security for the stable development of the South Caucasus region and discussed plans to further enhance effective and оперативe cooperation between their police services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Tamazashvili thanked Sargsyan for the invitation to Armenia and invited his Armenian counterpart to pay an official return visit to Georgia.
