Foreign citizen arrested at Tbilisi airport over illegal import of 200 pregabalin tablets

A foreign national has been arrested on charges of illegally purchasing, possessing and importing a large quantity of psychotropic substances into Georgia, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.

During a personal and baggage search, law enforcement officers seized 200 tablets of the psychotropic substance pregabalin as evidence.

The crime carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison.
