Interpol Red Notice Fugitive Wanted by Greece Arrested in Georgia

Georgian police have arrested a foreign national wanted under an Interpol Red Notice at the request of Greek authorities, the Interior Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the suspect was wanted by Greek law enforcement authorities on charges of fraud involving a particularly large sum of money.
Officers from Georgia’s Patrol Police Department arrested the wanted individual in the Black Sea city of Batumi.
Extradition proceedings against the detainee are now underway in accordance with Georgian law.
