Palestinian citizen arrested for attempting to cross Georgia border with forged document

Officers of the Border Management and Coordination Main Division of the Patrol Police Department under Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a Palestinian citizen on charges of attempting to illegally cross the state border of Georgia using a forged document.

The suspect was detained at the Sadakhlo border crossing checkpoint while attempting to cross the Georgian state border with a forged document.

The offences are punishable by up to five years in prison.
