Heavy rains have caused flooding in several streets of Georgia’s western coastal city of Batumi.

Shops and ground floors have been flooded on the streets.

Locals say that poor infrastructure and unclean drainage systems cause the problem systematically.

The opposition has slammed the local government for the ‘continued problem.’

They said that it is better for the local authorities to care about the existing infrastructure rather than making an artificial island in Batumi.
