Georgia hosts Interpol meeting on curbing illegal firearms trafficking

Representatives from various units of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have taken part in an Interpol-organized meeting in Tbilisi focused on combating the illegal circulation of firearms and ammunition.
The event was opened by Irakli Dondoladze, Deputy Director of the Central Criminal Police Department.
Law enforcement officials from around 20 European and Central Asian countries attended the discussions, which covered topics including illegal arms-trading trends, regional criminal networks and emerging security challenges.
