Ukrainian troops continue to carry out operations in Russia’s Kursk region, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
He said Ukrainian defence forces are disrupting enemy plans, holding their positions firmly and conducting active operations when conditions allow.
“Despite constant enemy pressure, Ukrainian soldiers continue carrying out missions on Russian territory — our presence in the Kursk region is being maintained,” the general said.
Syrskyi stated that the key to success on the battlefield lies in active defence and maintaining the initiative, which he said enables Ukrainian forces to exhaust the enemy, inflict maximum losses and regain positions.
According to the commander-in-chief, Russian forces are suffering daily losses of at least 1,000 personnel killed and wounded.
