Georgia's First Lady Tamar Bagrationi has addressed a cultural event held in Geneva as part of the World Intellectual Property Organization Assembly.
Bagrationi highlighted the importance of longstanding cooperation between Georgia and WIPO and said the partnership had produced significant results in protecting the country's cultural heritage and developing intellectual property, the President’s press office said on Thursday.
She drew attention to Georgia's unique cultural heritage, including the Georgian alphabet, its millennia-old winemaking tradition and rich historical legacy.
Bagrationi thanked WIPO and its Director General Daren Tang for supporting the protection and promotion of Georgia's cultural heritage.
Participants at the event had the opportunity to learn about Georgia's centuries-old cultural heritage, view historical exhibits, taste Georgian wine and experience Georgian musical and choreographic traditions.
