The annual public festival Tbilisoba will take place this year on September 20-21, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced on Wednesday.

He said the festival would feature a range of activities and events, including the Honoured Citizens of Tbilisi award ceremony on September 20 and a grand concert on September 21.

“Since local self-government elections are scheduled for October 4, Tbilisoba will be held on September 20-21. The main festival venues will again be Orbeliani Square and Rike Park, where visitors can enjoy a diverse programme over the two days”, Kaladze said.

He added that both days would feature exhibitions, theatrical and entertainment programmes, and children’s activities at Orbeliani Square. In Abanotubani, a “Tbilisi Diversity” exhibition-sale will run on both days, while Rike Park will host children’s performances and concerts featuring Georgian pop artists. The grand concert at Europe Square will begin at 8:00 PM on September 21.
