Officers of the Old Tbilisi Main Division under the Tbilisi Police Department have arrested a 20-year-old suspect, identified as A.G. (born in 2004), on charges of attempted murder, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) announced.

According to the investigation, the suspect allegedly stabbed two individuals - G.V. (born in 2004) and S.V. (born in 2006) - in the neck and torso during an altercation near Vera Park in Tbilisi.

After the attack, the suspect fled the scene. Both victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The offence carries a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation is underway under Article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to attempted murder.
