Georgian police have arrested two Chinese nationals on suspicion of stealing $7,800 and €4,450 from two passengers during a flight, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

Investigators alleged that the suspects unlawfully took the money belonging to two passengers while travelling on the same flight.

Police recovered the stolen cash and seized it as evidence.

The crime carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
