Two people have been arrested in Tbilisi on charges of aiding the illegal sale of a particularly large quantity of drugs by a group acting under a prior agreement, Georgia’s Interior Ministry said on Friday.
Officers from the Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department arrested the suspects as they were allegedly placing drugs prepared for sale near a park in the capital, according to the ministry.
Police seized 57 packages of the synthetic drug Alpha-PVP from several locations as evidence, the ministry said.
The offence carries a sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
