The 52,000 kilograms of diseased potatoes found in Sarpi will be returned to the exporting country

At the Sarpi checkpoint of the Ministry of Finance, a total of 2 vehicles loaded with 52,000 kilograms of diseased potatoes were stopped.

During the implementation of phytosanitary border-quarantine control procedures, by the specialists of the Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Control Division of the Customs Department, within the framework of the monitoring plan, as a result of laboratory examination of samples taken from imported potato contents dangerous quarantine organs were found.

According to the Resolution N463 of the Government of Georgia, the mentioned cargoes would be subject to return to the exporting country.
