Georgia, Spain review law enforcement cooperation during Madrid meetings

During a working visit to Madrid, Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Davit Kiknadze reviewed ongoing cooperation with Spanish law enforcement authorities, discussed joint efforts against transnational crime and explored opportunities for further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Interior Ministry said on Sunday that Kiknadze met with the General Commissioner of the Criminal Police of Spain’s National Police and the Head of the Criminal Police of the Civil Guard during an official visit to Madrid.
The meeting focused on operational information exchange, the implementation of joint investigative activities, the effectiveness of police attachés, and the enhancement of interagency coordination.
As part of the visit, members of the Georgian delegation also visited the Spanish National Police Academy, where they familiarised themselves with the training process, professional development programmes and the institution’s activities.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue active cooperation in the law enforcement field.
