Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) stated that six political parties will receive state funding following the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26.

The CEC clarified that under Georgian law, parties become eligible for state funding from the second day after the recognition of the newly elected parliament’s authority, which began on November 26. The following parties are entitled to funding:

* Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia
* United National Movement
* Coalition for Change (Gvaramia-Melia-Girchi-Droa)
* For Georgia (Gakharia’s Party)
* Lelo for Georgia
* Alliance of Patriots of Georgia
* New Political Center – Girchi
However, the party Coalition for Change (Gvaramia-Melia-Girchi-Droa) officially declined to accept the funding.

The deadline for parties to reject state funding expired today, December 26, at 6:00 PM.
