Adjara Government Chair Zurab Pataradze on Friday met with İbrahim Burkay, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during his visit to Turkey, with the talks focusing on expanding trade, logistics cooperation and business links between the two sides.
The meeting highlighted the importance of deepening Georgian-Turkish economic cooperation, with discussions centering on increasing cargo turnover, strengthening transit connectivity and developing logistics opportunities.
Pataradze said the sides also discussed boosting business cooperation, establishing new commercial contacts and organising reciprocal business visits.
He noted that particular attention was paid to promoting business tourism through forums and congresses in Adjara, as well as expanding cultural tourism initiatives.
"Many business representatives are interested in our region and its transit potential. I believe these meetings will help launch new joint initiatives," Pataradze said.
The participants also underscored the growing momentum in Georgia-Turkey relations and the role of such visits in strengthening bilateral economic partnership.
