Police arrests 17 amid eviction tensions in Tbilisi outskirts

Seventeen people were detained on Tvalchrelidze Street in Tbilisi on Thursday during an eviction operation, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

The ministry stated that the individuals were arrested under Article 173 of the Administrative Offenses Code, which refers to disobeying a lawful order of a law enforcement officer.

The National Bureau of Enforcement stated that the buildings in question were in a state of complete disrepair and posed a threat to the health and safety of the residents.

The eviction process has now been completed.
