Ukrainian and US delegations will meet in Miami on Saturday to begin a new round of negotiations, including work on a document outlining security guarantees for Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna.
Stefanishyna said Ukraine continues active consultations with Washington on the country’s future security architecture and long-term economic development.
She noted that the talks in Miami, Florida, will involve Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Administration Kyrylo Budanov, and Davit Arakhamia, leader of the parliamentary Servant of the People faction.
The Ambassador said Ukraine and the United States are currently working on two key documents: an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine and a framework on economic prosperity, with a combined value of up to $800 billion. The agreements could be signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, scheduled for January 19–23.
“The purpose of the visit is to refine these agreements with our American partners to ensure they best serve Ukraine’s national interests,” Stefanishyna said.
