Ukraine has received the bodies of another 1,000 individuals believed to be Ukrainian defenders, according to the country’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Officials also expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance and support in the process.

The latest repatriation followed a previous exchange on 29 January, when Ukraine likewise received the bodies of 1,000 fallen servicemembers.
