Ukraine’s NATO, EU membership aligns with Poland’s national interests – Duda

Ukraine’s prospective accession to NATO and the European Union aligns closely with Poland’s national interests, affirmed Polish President Andrzej Duda.

The Polish leader emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts with the new government to facilitate Ukraine’s aspirations to join both the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

President Duda highlighted the significant contribution Ukraine would bring as “another robust military partner” to the bloc, drawing attention to Ukraine’s extensive military experience, particularly during the two-year defense against the Russian Federation.

Anticipating Ukraine’s NATO membership, Duda emphasized the positive impact on Poland’s security by shifting the alliance’s eastern flank away from the country’s borders.

Expressing confidence in Ukraine’s military capabilities, President Duda remarked that Ukraine’s armed forces are currently regarded as “among the best” globally.
