Ukrainian Ambassador Igor Dolgov, who was recalled by President Volodymyr Zelemsky on March 1 for consultations over Tbilisi’s refusal to join sanctions against Russia and allow volunteer fighters to leave for Ukraine from the Georgian capital, reportedly is now in Tbilisi, Rustavi 2 TV channel has released a video from the ambassador’s residency.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili requested Zelensky yesterday to return the ambassador, stating that the Georgian and Ukrainian people, who have a common enemy, should stand together ‘in these tragic days.”

“Any dispute between Ukraine and Georgia only benefits Russia,” Zourabichvili said during her annual report in parliament yesterday, where she appeared with the charge d’affaires of Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

Hostilities still continue in the country.
