Ukraine reports updated Russian battlefield losses

Ukraine’s armed forces have released updated figures on what they say are Russia’s military losses since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022.
According to the General Staff in Kyiv, Russia has lost around 1,103,580 troops - killed or wounded - as of 23 September 2025. The update claims an additional 1,010 personnel casualties in the past 24 hours.
The statement also listed the destruction of 11,199 tanks, 23,282 armoured vehicles and 33,052 artillery systems. Ukrainian officials say they have also destroyed 1,495 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,218 air defence systems, 424 aircraft and 345 helicopters.
In addition, Kyiv reported shooting down 62,486 tactical-level drones, along with 3,747 cruise missiles since the invasion began. Losses also include 28 boats, one submarine, 62,486 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 3,969 units of specialised equipment.
