Russia's war losses reach 1.48 mln, Kyiv

Russia's military has suffered an estimated 1,479,300 personnel casualties since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including 1,230 reported over the past 24 hours, Ukraine's General Staff said on Tuesday.

The figures cover the period from 25 February 2022 to 25 August 2026 and refer to personnel described by Ukraine as killed or wounded.

Ukraine's General Staff estimated Russia's equipment losses at:

• 35 light high-speed boats and ships

• 2 submarines

• 139,221 vehicles and fuel tanks

• 4,582 special-purpose vehicles
