The United Arab Emirates has plans to introduce a visa-free regime for Georgian citizens, the Embassy of Georgia in the country has reported.

According to the diplomatic mission, the negotiation phase has been successfully completed and only the formal decision-making procedure is left.  “As a result of the negotiations, the authorities of the United Arab Emirates have taken a positive decision to establish a visa-free regime for Georgian passport holders to enter the country,” said the embassy.

Until now only the holders of Georgian diplomatic and service passports were able to enter the country visa free.
