Zelenskyy: The girl in the stroller was only one year old, the world has enough power to stop these murderers

Russia launched a "Shahed" drone strike on the settlement of Nova Vodolaha in the Kharkiv region, killing 6 people, including children. Ukraine calls on the world to tighten sanctions against Russia and stop the killers, – the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated.

The Ukrainian leader reacted to the "horrific Russian strike" in Nova Vodolaha in the Kharkiv region.

"The 'Shahed' struck virtually directly at people – at a park near an ordinary cafe. Absolute brutality. Six people died, and among them are children. The deceased girl, Anhelina, who was killed right in her stroller, was just over a year old – she was born in August 2025. Her mother's name was Inna, she died in the hospital… The other killed girl was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children," the President said.

Zelenskyy thanked everyone who supports Ukraine and helps shoot down "Shaheds" and missiles, and stop Russian attacks.

"These are horrific photos, but behind them are broken lives and the truth about this war. We must protect lives. Ukraine needs air defense. We cannot think about money with Russia while it continues its senseless war," the President stated.

He called for sanctions against Russia to remain in force until the killings stop.

"We ask America to be strong, we ask for the Lindsey Graham Act to be implemented. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask them to do everything to ensure peace and security," Zelenskyy said.

According to the President, Ukraine wants peace, while Russia persistently insists on continuing the killings.

"The world has enough power to stop the war. This power must finally be used – against the murderers," Zelenskyy stated.
