Zelenskyy - If the Russians agree to an energy truce, Ukraine will agree too

Ukraine has not reached an agreement with Russia on starting an energy truce between the countries from October 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

The Ukrainian leader reacted for the first time to the statement made by US President Donald Trump regarding this matter.

"The announcement of a ceasefire was news to me. But if the Russians agree to an energy truce, Ukraine will agree too. If President Trump agreed on this with Putin, please let us know when the truce begins. We are ready and will accept it," Zelenskyy said.

On October 11, Trump once again announced an "energy ceasefire" between Ukraine and Russia, urging "not to violate it."
