Ukraine, the United States and Russia have agreed to hold a third round of negotiations in the near future, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Zelenskyy noted that he had already spoken with Ukraine’s negotiating team, which took part in meetings with the Russian and American delegations.
“The fact that air raid sirens are sounding now means that no agreement to end the war has been reached,” the President said.
He also recalled that a prisoner exchange with Russia took place earlier in the day, with 157 Ukrainian defenders returning home.
“I think the groups will now meet again to discuss this issue, because the matter of further exchanges must be raised. As for the next meeting, it will definitely take place. We agreed that the next meeting will be held soon,” Zelenskyy said.
The President added “everything” was discussed during the talks in Abu Dhabi. Members of the Ukrainian delegation consider the information highly confidential and are expected to share details after returning to Kyiv.
