Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues to demand NATO to close a sky over Ukraine to prevent Russian bombardment and killing of civilians.
“If you don’t close our sky, it is only a matter of time before Russian rockets fall on your territory, on NATO territory,” Zelensky said in a video address earlier today.
The video comes a day after thirty-five people were killed and more than 130 injured when Russian troops launched air strikes on a military training ground outside Ukraine’s western city of Lviv, near the border with NATO member Poland.
If NATO closes sky over Ukraine and if Russia decides to bomb the Ukrainian territory anyway, NATO will have to shoot and down Russian planes which means NATO is also involved in the war.
Kyiv says that Russia will not stop bombing of Ukraine and the West will have to take the step anyway. However, at that time the number the civilian victims could be very high.
