Georgian PM commemorates fallen cadets in Soviet invasion, says “struggle for independence still not complete”

Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday commemorated the fallen military cadets defending the country from the 1921 Red Army invasion, praised their merits and said their struggle for the country’s independence was not still complete.

Describing the reintegration of currently Russian-occupied Abljazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions as the “major concern and the task” of all Georgian citizens, Garibashvili said his office was taking actions for strengthening the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and its “return to the common European family”.
