President of Moldova Maia Sandu extended her heartfelt congratulations to the people of Georgia on the country’s Independence Day, expressing support for their pursuit of freedom and a European future.

In a post shared on X Sandu wrote:
"Happy Independence Day to the brave people of Georgia. Moldova stands with all who believe in freedom, dignity, and a European future. Our journeys may not always be easy—but they are worth taking, together. საქართველოს გაუმარჯოს!"

Georgia celebrates its Independence Day on May 26, marking the anniversary of its 1918 declaration of independence from the Russian Empire.
