PM: 300,000 Georgians fit to work dependent on state social support

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili says that 300,000 Georgians who are fit to work are dependent on state social support which is ‘wrong and unacceptable.’

He says that the individuals are afraid of losing the state support and taking no steps to find jobs or to improve living conditions.

Garibashvili says that the Georgian government will draft a programme and will offer the people jobs instead of social assistance.

He says that relevant state agencies will identify the jobs Georgians are trying to find in emmigration and will offer them locally.
