At least 11 people have been killed and 46 injured in a Russian attack on Kyiv, according to the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
"Eleven people were killed as a result of the enemy's overnight attack on Kyiv. One of them, an injured man, died in hospital this morning," Klitschko said.
The mayor said 46 people had been injured, with 27 taken to hospital, including three children.
Damage and destruction were reported in four districts of the Ukrainian capital, with the Podilskyi district the worst affected, according to Klitschko. Apartments between the fifth and ninth floors of one building were destroyed.
The final number of casualties is still being established, while rescue operations are continuing.
Kyiv has declared 7 July a day of mourning.
