Fourteen individuals arrested in connection with the events of 4 October, when the United National Movement announced a peaceful revolution, will remain in custody, a decision made by Judge Valerian Bugiani of the Tbilisi City Court.

During the hearing, the court reviewed the admissibility of evidence and reconsidered the preventive measures applied to the detainees, ultimately deciding to keep them in detention.

The accused include Vladimer Gvelesiani, Zurab Chavchanidze, Sergo Megrelishvili, Giorgi Rurua, Amiran Dolishvili, Anton Vardanidze, Giorgi Korkia, Aleksandre Chilachava, Genadi Kupreishvili, Lasha Ivanadze, Levan Jikia, Sulkhan Tugushi, Khvicha Gogokhia, and Ramaz Mumladze.

They face charges under Article 19-222, part 2(a) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, relating to the attempt to seize and block strategic or particularly important facilities in a group, as well as Article 225, part 2, concerning participation in group violence.
