Vice-Rector of Europe University Raul Kiria has awarded the winners of an essay competition, with the top participants receiving tuition funding for one academic year.
The award ceremony for the competition, titled "One Health – Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Psychology and Dentistry," was held on Monday. The competition committee selected the authors of the best essays, who will receive scholarships based on their final ranking.
The winners are:
First place: Ani Takidze – 100% tuition funding
Second place: Nutsa Shubladze – 70% tuition funding
Third place: Anastasia Kenkadze – 50% tuition funding
The University said the competition aimed to raise awareness about the "One Health" concept and highlight its importance for future professionals. Participants were invited to choose one of four topics and discuss possible solutions to contemporary challenges.
The essay topics included combating infectious diseases in the 21st century, chronic diseases as a modern global challenge, the impact of animals on human mental and physical health and the difficulties of developing emotional intelligence among young people.
Europe University noted that the competition forms part of its efforts to encourage student engagement with issues related to healthcare, veterinary medicine, psychology and dentistry.
The University has also announced admissions for the 2026 academic year in medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry and psychology programmes.
