One arrested in Georgia’s Black Sea city of Batumi after police seize large quantity of narcotics

Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, have detained a 1993-born individual in the country’s Black Sea resort city of Batumi on charges of illegal purchase, possession and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotic substances, the Ministry reported on Saturday.

The body added during a personal search, law enforcement officers seized 124 grams of the narcotic drug Alpha-PVP, divided into 44 packages and prepared for sale.

The offence carries a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment under Georgian law.
