Adjara TV journalist Koba Partenadze detained, lawyer

Adjara TV journalist Koba Partenadze has been detained on administrative grounds, his lawyer said on Monday.

The lawyer noted Partenadze was detained at the second police station of the Batumi City Division and is currently being held at the temporary detention facility in Zestaponi.

"We are currently establishing the grounds and motives for Koba Partenadze's administrative detention," the lawyer wrote on social media, adding that further information about the case would be provided shortly.

Partenadze was reportedly attacked twice within one week. People arrested in connection with one of the attacks were later released by a court on 7,000 lari bail each.
