Anna Tsitlidze, one of the leaders of the opposition United National Movement party, has said there can be no reset in relations between Georgia and the United States unless the ruling Georgian Dream party changes its current foreign policy trajectory.

“There will be no reset in relations between Georgia and the United States until Georgian Dream changes its trajectory from an Iranian, Russian and Chinese course to one aligned with the United States and Europe,” Tsitlidze said.

She said the United States remains Georgia’s key strategic partner and the deterioration in bilateral relations is the result of policies pursued by the current Government.

“The United States is Georgia’s strategic partner and Georgian Dream has deprived Georgian citizens of this partnership. This reality will not change based on how the Georgian Dream regime or its propagandists choose to interpret these statements,” she added.
