One of the leaders of the United National Movement, Ana Tsitlidze, on Tuesday said the party remains part of the opposition alliance and continues to work within it, despite recent statements regarding the coalition's future composition.

Tsitlidze said decisions within the alliance are made through voting and majority support, not by any single individual.

According to her, discussions and disagreements within the opposition are part of the political process and voters have a right to receive answers regarding past decisions and mistakes.

“We are in the alliance and continue working. However, there are questions that [...] I will always ask. These are questions that should have been raised and answered before the 2024 parliamentary elections, but unfortunately that did not happen,” she stated.

Tsitlidze added that if the opposition's common goal is to defeat ruling party founder Bidzina Ivanishvili, efforts should be focused on that objective rather than on internal disputes involving the United National Movement.

Her comments came after Federalists leader Tamar Chergoleishvili wrote on social media that the United National Movement's logo would soon be removed from the alliance's branding.
